This is an urgent communication to all HX_CN members,

A particular piece of legacy hardware kept in a prolonged standby state as per the retention policy governing Project Carpe Noctem (which has been in indefinite hiatus since 2023) has experienced a severe malfunction this morning. The cause is unknown at the moment of writing. The hardware in question is highly customized robotics and its malfunction has the potential to inflict major damage on our infrastructure, as well as threaten the safety of our employees. As such, its temporary transport along with supplies for its potential repair (and associated project data on encrypted cold storage) has been issued.

Given the above context of urgency, all members of HX_CN are hereby called on to pause other work on any project (including Project Carpe Noctem itself). Instead, be prepared to review individual communications you will be receiving shortly which will assign you tasks regarding the triage of the emergency at hand. You are expected to start work on these tasks immediately upon receipt of said communications. Furthermore, you are expected to work according to the Extended Overtime schedule until your individual tasks are completed. Be assured that you will be compensated accordingly for your work.

For team members receiving tasks that involve debugging of the legacy hardware: be advised that the hardware has embedded access to repositories containing legacy CN artificial intelligence routines. The malfunction seems to have activated a set of these with corrupted configurations. As such it is of utmost importance to take all possible protective measures when engaging in this work. Specifically, the use of Night Corporation issued cyberdecks with built-in security protocols that manage all cyber-neural interfaces on your person is mandatory to conduct this work. The consequences of not following this protocol may be severe, up to and including permanent loss of cognitive functions. Team members receiving tasks that require being in close physical proximity to the legacy hardware should take additional caution regarding its advanced capabilities for the adversarial use of near field communication to override safety measures on cyberware. It is not recommended to be within 10 ft. of the hardware for a prolonged duration while the malfunction is ongoing.
